Talent Management – Let’s Talk

We want to meet! So across the globe, we’re reaching out.

The entire Acendre team – including executives, Client Advisors, Consultants, Technical Support and Business Development teams — wants to listen to our users and to other HR leaders and professionals. We’re looking forward to new and ongoing conversations as we engage in an exchange of ideas and information with the worldwide HR user community.

We want to hear about your talent management challenges, pain points, successes, ideas and wishes.

In the past couple of weeks, Acendre has been pleased to host interactive events on talent management, held over 10,000 miles (over 16,000 kilometers) apart, in the United State and Australia capital cities.

Canberra User Forum

On April 1st, Karen Evens, Acendre Managing Director, APAC, hosted a user forum for our Australian federal users. This event featured a presentation by the Department of Finance on the Cloud Services Panel. The presentation detailed how federal agencies can use the Panel, which is a great vehicle for accessing solutions government agencies need.

We also held a panel session with the Executive Director of Workforce Supply from the Australian Taxation Office and the Manager of Australian Public Service from the Department of Defense. They had an intriguing conversation about their experiences regarding:

  • reporting and what to convey to executives
  • interim recruitment arrangements
  • doing more with less.

It was a lively session, and it was great to hear how different users are utilizing and benefitting from the systems they have deployed. It was also useful to everyone to hear others’ particular pain points, what they are doing to solve them and what they would like to see from Acendre in the future.

Washington D.C. Partnership for Public Service Hiring Process Workshop

Last week, Acendre President, North America, Liam Ackland hosted an industry briefing and workshop for federal HR professionals at the Partnership for Public Service. The session focused on identifying and addressing critical barriers within the federal hiring process. A number of senior federal HR leaders shared some great insight with the almost 100 attendees.

Besides hearing from some great speakers, the workshop format allowed plenty of time for hands-on information sharing, idea sharing and real-world action items for attendees to take back to their agencies. Groups of federal HR professionals and members of the Acendre team huddled together discussing particular challenges and problems, as well as plans to combat them.

It was a thought-provoking day with a very useful exchange of information.

We look forward to keeping the conversation going.
