While the end of the year is a good time to review the past 12 months and reflect, it’s also an opportune time to look ahead.

Last year we unveiled the Acendre 2017 Federal Government Human Capital Trends to Watch report, and it was one of our most widely read publications ever. So we’re excited to unveil the 2018 edition, with some new additions, and some repeat trends to watch. While we missed on a few, we had a lot right in last year’s report.

Number one on this year’s list is the continued push for IT modernization, and that is with or without the Modernizing Government Technology (MGT) Act in place. Modernization has too many benefits — reduced costs, improved security, increased efficiencies and more — to be ignored.
