Acendre Wins Contract with Federal Housing Finance Agency to Automate
Recruitment System for Excepted Service Hiring

Only Solution Built Specifically for the Federal Government Streamlines Process for Sourcing, Selecting and Hiring High-Quality Talent while Lowering Costs

Arlington, VA, November 1, 2016 — Acendre, a worldwide leader in cloud-based talent management software, today announced that it has been awarded a contract to automate and improve the recruitment of Excepted Service hires at the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). Of the 620 employees working at FHFA approximately two-thirds are mission critical occupations (MCOs) that fall under Excepted Serve Hiring. The contract includes the implementation of Acendre Recruitment supported by the company’s cloud-based People Analytics that provides the power to quickly, securely and cost effectively transform an organization through executive- and operational-level dashboards and reports.

FHFA will leverage Acendre Recruitment’s ability to provide a holistic solution from vacancy creation through onboarding. As part of this new recruitment system FHFA user benefits include:

  • Customized online job announcements and applications
  • Ability to contact “passive” applicants with automatic job interest cards
  • Online search of applicant database
  • Real-time access to a central repository for applicant information
  • Ability to transfer pre-implementation history
  • Ability for agency administrative users to control permissions by roles, organizations, or specific requisitions
  • Ability to generate recruitment letters and emails (e.g. application acknowledgement, exam/interview appointments, letter of employment, etc.)
  • Acceptance of scanned paper application materials and search of the materials.

Importantly, the Acendre system is interoperable with any human resource system including Core HR, payroll, onboarding and learning management systems and its workflow engine adapts to existing processes, not the other way around. People Analytics will provide dashboards and reports that feed directly into the FHFA employee recruitment system at the program, regional and enterprise levels.

“Our cloud-based system is helping agencies like the FHFA quickly identify requisition requests, job approvals and candidates,” said Mike Giuffrida, co-founder and CEO of Acendre. “Agencies are quickly recognizing that the larger monolithic systems being offered today simply do not have the flexibility, intuitiveness or interoperability that our solutions offer. We built our entire talent management system specifically for the federal government and it proves itself on day one.”

About the Federal Housing Finance Agency

FHFA is working to strengthen and secure the United States secondary mortgage markets by providing effective supervision, sound research, reliable data, and relevant policies. We are an independent regulatory agency responsible for the oversight of vital components of the secondary mortgage markets—the housing government sponsored enterprises of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Federal Home Loan Bank System. Combined these entities provide more than $5.5 trillion in funding for the U.S.  mortgage markets and financial institutions.  Additionally, FHFA is the conservator of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
